WHAT WE DO
Mid-Michigan's Premier Live Audio Production Company
Stage, Sound, and Lighting
Specializing in live sound, lighting, staging, backline, limited DJ services, small conferences, and receptions, Temporary Kicks Entertainment provides professional equipment and superior service.
Carey Limberg established Temporary Kicks in 2011 after the passing of his father Al Limberg: owner, operator, and audio engineer of Watermelon Sugar. Carey began his career at the age of 10 accompanying his father at music events and learning the craft of live audio, acoustic theory, treating people right, and how to properly wrap a cable. They've been providing PA systems for local and national acts in bars, clubs, amphitheaters, larger venues, arenas, and outdoor festivals all throughout Michigan since the early 1970's.

Since inheriting his father's resources at the age of 21, Carey has continued to honor Al's legacy by working with artists and event producers in an educational and professional manner in addition to staying on the cutting edge of sound reinforcement in the digital age. From intimate settings to large multi-stage festivals, Temporary Kicks delivers high quality production through pro audio equipment, multiple stage configurations, several lighting options, skilled technicians, decades of experience, and finely trained ears. They have an honest desire to provide services that best meet the needs of the client which sometimes requires going beyond the scope of simply being "the sound guy." They will also happily answer your questions and provide guidance on the optimal ways to deliver the right atmosphere for your event. OUR MISSION
Our passion for professional production extends beyond just the stage and speakers. We work closely with our clients and ask the deeper questions to ensure we're providing appropriate services for their events and functions while being mindful of individual budgets. To help bridge the gap between an event coordinator and what our services entail, we take the extra time to educate and provide full transparency when developing a production package. When everyone understands the Bigger Picture, an event becomes that much more organized and successful. We take that responsibility very seriously and pride ourselves for going the extra mile with a smile. Temporary Kicks handles your production needs so you don't have to worry about a thing on event day. Everyone wins, including your audience.
AUDIO SERVICES
Our team understands the importance of delivering a high quality and seamless experience for your audience. Whether indoor or outdoor, we're taking into consideration the natural acoustics of the environment, how far the sound needs to travel, what equipment is appropriate for the situation, and what the overall atmosphere is supposed to feel like. To accomplish this, we can offer the following services: Audio Engineers, Lighting Designers, Video Engineers, Stage Managers, Stage Hands, Production Managers, Production Consultants, Site Ops Managers, Forklift Operators, Electricians, and more. With years of professional experience providing production and managing large scale music festivals, we're well equipped to safely navigate the needs of your event. Because anything can happen, Temporary Kicks is always looking ahead to fend off potential issues and making real time audio adjustments to cater to the needs of the artists on stage. This includes the intentionally "unseen" actions like making sure the stage is "clean" by grouping and running cables in paths that don't obstruct the musicians, and placing our on-stage equipment in such a way that it does not distract the audience from focusing on the band. Our skilled technicians make sure the artists have a solid monitor mix so they can deliver their best performance possible. We don't just "set it and forget it" - we're always paying attention to the mix. Whether it's a guitar, saxophone, or vocal solo we make the tweaks needed to really let that element shine and be heard. You'll never have to tell us to "turn it down" because we will have already anticipated that aspect based on pre-production conversations.
